How do I get water out of my iPhone speaker?
Turn the volume all the way up, remove any headphones, hold the phone with the speaker facing down over a soft cloth, and play a water-eject tone. Eject Pro plays precisely tuned frequencies that vibrate the speaker to push water out. Repeat once or twice if the sound is still muffled.
Does putting my phone in rice work?
No. Rice can't reach water trapped inside the speaker, and grains, dust, or starch can lodge in the openings. Point the speaker down and use a sound-based eject method instead.
Is it safe to use sound to remove water?
Yes. Playing tuned low and high frequencies simply vibrates the speaker to help push water and loosen debris. It's gentle and non-invasive — far safer than poking the grille or applying heat.
Is Eject Pro free?
Yes, ejecting water is free. There's an optional Pro upgrade for the strongest complete clean and extra tools. The app is ad-free and privacy-first.
My speaker still sounds muffled after cleaning. What should I do?
Run a couple more eject cycles and give the phone a few hours to fully dry. If it's still distorted or silent — or if it was exposed to salt or pool water — have it checked by Apple or an authorized repair shop.
When is it safe to charge again?
Wait until the phone is fully dry, ideally a few hours in a well-ventilated spot. If you see a liquid-detected alert when you plug in, unplug and let it dry longer.
Can it clean my AirPods or earbuds too?
Yes. Eject Pro can clean the left and right earbud separately and help find a lost one.
Does it work on Android?
Eject Pro is currently an iPhone app. The free browser tool at ejectpro.com/eject works on most phones, but the tuned, phone-specific clean is in the iOS app.
